Srinagar: After senior police officers SP Pani and Vidhi Kumar Birdi proceeded on central deputation, Tejinder Singh (IPS-2008 batch) is set to join the National Investigation Agency(NIA).
According to wire service— Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the J&K government has relieved Tejinder of the charge (AIG- Trainings and Policy) to join NIA as Superintendent of Police for a period of four years.
“Consequent upon the approval of the competent authority to the induction of Tejinder Singh , IPS(JK:2008),AIG (Trainings & Policy)PHQ, as SP NIA, against an existing vacancy, on deputation basis, for a period of four years, w.e.f.the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or till further orders, whichever is earlier, he is hereby relieved to enable him to take up the new assignment,” reads an order issued by Home Department.
According to the order, Rajeshwar Singh, AIG (Personnel) PHQ, shall hold the charge of the post of AIG (Trainings and Policy) till further orders.
With this the number of police officers of J&K cadre on deputation with Centre and States has reached 18. Of them 16 are on deputation with central agencies like NIA, CBI, RAW, IB and paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, two are on inter –cadre state deputation.
SP Pani had also proceeded on deputation last month to join Research and Analysis where two other officers of J&K cadre are already on deputation.
Vidhi Kumar Birdi had also recently proceeded on deputation with the National Investigation Agency.
