Islamabad, Feb 3 (UNI) Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday said that 15 terrorists were killed and four security personnel died in Balochistan’s Naushki and Panjgur attacks that took place a day earlier.
In a video message posted on his Twitter, the minister said terrorists had attacked the security forces’ camps, which was successfully repulsed by the Pakistan Army soldiers.
“Nine terrorists in Balochistan’s Naushki and six in Panjgur were killed by the Pakistan Army soldiers. Four soldiers also lost their lives in Naushki attack,” Rasheed said.
He further said that four to five terrorists are currently surrounded by the Pakistan Army in Panjgur. Terrorists had attempted to attack security forces’ camps in Balochistan’s Panjgur and Noshki in two separate attacks late on Wednesday evening, Dawn quoted Pakistan military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying.
“Both attacks have been successfully repulsed while inflicting heavy casualties to terrorists,” ISPR said in a statement. “In Panjgur, terrorists tried to enter security forces camp from two locations. However, timely response by troops foiled the terrorist attempt.” The ISPR further said that terrorists attempted to enter a Frontier Corps (FC) camp which was “promptly responded” and four terrorists were killed.
