7 years old Bandipora girl, Tajamul Islam has become first Kashmiri to represent India at World Kickboxing Championship.

kickboxinglogogHailing from village of bandipora, Tajamul Islam lone is a child martial arts sensation, who is set to become the first Kashmiri to represent India.

Daughter of a driver Ghulam Mohammad Lone, who works with a construction company Tajamul has learned martial arts in a local academy.

Tajamul is the youngest gold medalist in the J&K Wushu Championships and she also qualified for the National Wushu Championships in Haridwar last month.

She defeated her opponent last year at the National Kickboxing Championships in Delhi and became the first girl from the Valley in her age group to win a gold medal in the tournament.(Agencies)
