All Is Well With PDP, Says BJP

Stating that the Congress is in a process to grab an opportunity by luring the Peoples Democratic Party, the Bharitya Janta party Monday said that both PDP and BJP will sit together in few days for the formation of the government.
It also claimed that everything is final between the two parties and that there is no truth that PDP has set any condition for BJP.
“Since the congress is power hungry, they are trying to lure the PDP in order to grab the power. But I can say that everything is final between the PDP and BJP and that the leadership of both the parities will sit together in few days for the government formation,” BJP’s senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas told KNS over phone.
Rubbishing the rumors that PDP has set four conditions to the BJP, Manhas said that these are all rumors and that PDP has not set any conditions. “Some sections of media are spreading rumors. There is no condition from the PDP. We have the common minimum program which will be followed by both the parties. There will be no changes in the alliance of PDP and BJP,” he claimed.
He said that as the PDP President is still in deep shock and it will take some time to form the government. “Mehbboa Ji is still in deep shock, she was closely attached to Mufti Sahib. Let she come out of this, then we will sit together and finalize the things,” Manhas said.
Interestingly the BJP’s reaction came after Congress President Sonia Gandhi met party Chief Mehbooba at her Fairview residence in Srinagar. Congress leaders Ambika Soni and Ghulam Nabi Azad were also present in the meeting, which lasted for around 20 minutes.
When asked that BJP has not officially extended the support to Mehbooba for the Chief minister ship he said that everything will be cleared within few days. “Everything will be cleared within few days. I can tell you with the responsibility that we will form the government in a few days.
It is to mention here that Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Mufti’s residence in Srinagar along with state BJP president Sat Sharma, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh Sunday to offer condolences to the Mufti family.
It is also pertinent to mention here that even after the four days of the death of Mufti Sayeed, the BJP and the PDP have failed to take a call on the formation of the new government. The coalition partners were waiting for ‘chaharum’ (fourth day of mourning) of Mufti, held Sunday, to decide on the formation of the new government. (KNS)
