Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed his grief over the tragic incident of bridge collapse in Mizoram in which 17 workers were killed. He spoke to the Governor and Chief Minister of the state and assured them all possible assistance.
Taking to twitter, Shah wrote, “Anguished by the tragic accident in Mizoram. I have spoken to the Governor and CM Mizoram and assured all possible assistance. The NDRF and local administration are on-site, conducting rescue operations. My condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.”
Showing his grief on the Mizoram incident, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Mizoram where an under-construction railway bridge collapsed in Sairang. My heart goes out to the families affected by the tragedy, I pray for them. Let’s stand united in these difficult times.”
