New Delhi, (UNI): Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday asserted that the forthcoming Assembly elections in five states are an opportunity to overcome ‘hatred’.

In a tweet in Hindi along with the hashtag ‘Elections 2022’, he wrote, “This is the right chance to trounce hatred.”

Assembly elections to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur will be held between February 10 and March 7, and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.

The Congress MP and his party has been accusing the BJP of spreading hatred in the country.

Last month, the Congress leader in his address at a party rally in Rajasthan called himself an ardent ‘Hindu’ and termed the ruling BJP government at the Centre as ‘Hindutvavadi’.

Later, he had said, “Hindutvavadi always spread hatred and violence.”
