BJP govt provided better job opportunities in nine years as compared to UPA: Jitendra Singh

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Personnel and Training Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday said employment both in “Quantitatively and Qualitatively” during the nine years of NDA government is better than nine years before the 2014 under UPA government.

Briefing media at the party headquarters in New Delhi, Jitendra Sing said, “During 2004 to 2013, the number for recruitments stood at two lakh 7 thousand 563 through the Staff Selection Commission whereas it was four lakh 691 during the last nine years”.

Highlighting the initiative taken by the BJP government in the last 9 years here, the Union Minister said, that “through the UPSC, during the 2004 to 2013 period, there were 45 thousand 431 recruitments whereas these were 50 thousand 906 during the last nine years under the Modi government.”

Talking about the other initiatives he said through Railway Recruitment Board, there were three lakh 47 thousand 251 recruitments during the 2004 to 2013 period under the UPA and on the other hand, the number stands at 4 lakh 30 thousand 594 under the Modi Government in the last nine years”.

Over the corruption issue, he said, ” Prime Minister Modi is following a policy of zero tolerance against corruption”…adding that at the same time, he is ensuring that the well-performing officers – those performing with honesty and integrity, should not feel intimidated and should have an opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities”.

Jitendra Singh said, “The Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) has been a game-changer to resolve grievances to the public authorities in any subject related to service delivery”.

“There has been a big satisfaction among the citizens as the Modi Government has been responsive and prompt in its deliveries towards addressing their grievances” he added.

The Minister said, “PM Narendra Modi made the country aware that employment does not mean only government jobs and the result is that today the number of startups in the country has increased from 350 to 1 lakh”.

He said, the Bio-Tech Startups, Deep Ocean Mission and Aroma Mission unveil the novel areas which shall ensure value-addition in the economy and boost employment opportunities for the people.

“With this, 3,000 agritech startups have started under ‘Aroma Mission” he said.
