Lucknow, (UNI): After taking out Jan Vishwas Yatras across Uttar Pradesh to apprise the people with the achievements of the state government in every assembly segment, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a mass contact campaign from Tuesday.
Giving details of the campaign, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh said, “As a part of the campaign following corona protocol the leaders and workers of the party will go door to door and give information about the works done by the government at the centre and in the state for the farmers, workers, women and youths to the people.”
“The people will be told how Yogi government put reins on the criminals, how houses were provided to the shelterless, efforts made to ensure that drinking water reaches each and every household, how UP was made ‘Rojgaar Pradesh’ (employment state) and how the lives of the farmers were made prosperous,” he added.
Singh said during the campaign starting from Tuesday the BJP workers and leaders will reach door to door in all 1.74 lakh booths in the state. Groups of five-five persons will be constituted and the party workers will carry out extensive contact programmes in all the 403 assembly segments. Pamphlets highlighting the achievements of the government will also be distributed.
He said under the campaign the workers have been categorised in three categories, including women contact, social contact and beneficiaries contact groups. As per the directives of the Election Commission maximum five workers have been included in the groups. During the campaign the workers will also distribute masks and sanitiser among the people. “A plan has been chalked out to specially reach 3.5 crore beneficiaries,” he said.
The state president said after January 14, LED raths will move in all 403 assembly segments and inform the people about the schemes of the government while requesting them to vote in the favour of the BJP. All MPs, MLAs, ministers, public representatives and party office-bearers will be part of the campaign.
