A blast rocked Dasht-e-Barchi locality in Police District 18 of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Wednesday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.

The blast, according to Zadran, took place in a parking lot of a market, destroying three cars and leaving no casualties.

Without providing more details, the spokesman added that an investigation had been initiated into the accident.

This is the second blast in Afghanistan over the past week.

An explosion ripped through a mosque in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital of Baghlan, on Friday, killing seven and injuring 17 others.
