Bulgarian national held in fake currency racket case

Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a foreign national for allegedly involved in an international fake currency racket, police said on Friday.

The accused has been identified as Ruslan Petrov Metodiev, a Bulgarian national, police said.

High quality of fake currency of Rs Eight lakh, laptop, printer, lamination machine, clamping tool and ink used for printing FICN were seized.

Police received a secret information regarding circulation of FICN by an international syndicate in India. Accordingly, a dedicated team was deputed to develop this information and manual as well as technical surveillance was mounted upon the activities of the suspected members of this syndicate, police said.

Acting on this tip-off, police arrested him from Delhi’s Bajghera on Najafgarh- Kapashera Road, police said.
