Devotees throng Holy Family Catholic Church in Baramulla
Amid chill and religious fervor Christians on Thursday celebrated Christmas with special prayers for peace brotherhood held at the oldest Catholic Church saint Joseph Baramulla since 1905.
Scores of Christian devotees including men women flocked to the Holy family Catholic Church saint Joseph Baramulla to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ (A. S) and held special prayers.
The church was decorated with colourful buntings and balloons and wore a festive look.
SJS school Baramulla Father Britto said Christmas would be a sign of communal harmony, love and humanity and compassion for all across the world.
Sister said Christmas is celebrated by singing carols and exchanging gifts as it aims to spread the message of peace and prosperity.
However people missed white Christmas as there was no snowfall in Baramulla town.(KINS) Arshad Farooq
