He said that the “cats are those Indian occupational forces who had massacred lakhs of Muslims in 1947 in Jammu region and who are mercilessly killing the innocent Kashmiris since last 69 years.”

“The people who had slaughtered thousands of innocent people in Handwara, Kupwara, Sopore, Hawal, Bijbihara, Gow Kadal, Wandhama and Chatti Singhpora massacres,” he said.

A spokesman of the amalgam said police didn’t allow the release of book, “Kashmir-Aatish Zair-e-Paa” authored by a prominent writer Hassan Zaingeeri Sahab, which was to be released by Geelani.

“While breaking the police cordon, Geelani Sahab however came out of his house and released the said book on the airport road,” the amalgam spokesperson said.

Geelani said that there is no threat to the Kashmiri Pandits if they will return to their native places and they can peacefully live with their Muslim brothers there.

He said that there are hundreds of Pandit families living in Kashmir with their Muslim brethren and they did not leave the Valley.

“They are not only safe at their native places but their Muslim neighbors share their every grief. Even the Muslim neighbors perform the last rites of their Pandit brethren. We will welcome our Pandit brethren on their Ghar Wapsi and they will get respect and love from their Muslim neighbors alike in the past,” he said.

He said that nobody will have objection if government will provide them 30 lakh rupees instead of 20 for their rehabilitation.(Agencies)
