Lucknow, (UNI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday raised the Hijab issue again and said that communal forces get hurt when daughters go to school by wearing Hijabs. Addressing a rally at GIC ground here, Owaisi said, “Communal forces get hurt when my daughters go to school by wearing Hijabs then I want that one day my Hijab wearing daughter becomes the Prime Minister.”

He appealed Muslims, Dalits and backwards not to tread behind Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress and to strengthen their own participation and stake.

“I appeal Muslims, Dalits and backwards don’t tread behind SP, BSP and Congress to strengthen your own participation and stake. Our fight is for equality. SP and Congress take your votes by creating fear in the name of BJP and BJP takes vote by creating threat from us,” he said.

Owaisi said that no one will ask a community which does not have its political power. “Therefore strengthen yourself politically,” he said. Training guns at Modi-Yogi, he said that more than 50,000 people were rendered homeless during Muzaffarnagar riots, so many atrocities were committed, but not a single guilty person was punished.

“Recently the son of a BJP minister committed so much atrocity on the farmers in the Lakhimpur Khiri incident, but no action was taken. Not only this the minister was retained in the council of ministers. Though law is equal for all, but is not applied equally,” he said. UNI
