Congress slams Yogi govt after Lakhimpur witness beaten up

New Delhi, March 12 (UNI) Congress on Saturday slammed the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over reports of a witness in the Lakhimpur Kheri being beaten up by supporters of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra.

Surjewala, quoting a report said, “does victory in UP mean the main witness of Lakhimpur Kheri massacre Diljot Singh will be beaten up and threatened to be silent?” “Yogi government has got the mandate but they have not got the right to beat up witness of a crime,” he said.
