Srinagar, March 12 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was shot dead in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening, official sources said.
They further said that Muktar Ahmad Doie, resident of Check Chotipora Shopian, was shot dead in his native village while he was on leave.
Security forces have cordoned the village to trace the attackers.
Police is yet to issue any statement.
The killing took place hours after four militants were killed in three separate gunfights in Kashmir. A Sarpanch was also killed on Friday evening at Kulgam.
