A Central Reserve Police Force officer died of asphyxiation in his room here on Friday. Police sources said that a CRPF man from 79 Battalion slept in his room at Sonwar Srinagar camp with a gas heater on. During morning, his colleagues found him unconscious. He was shifted to Srinagar based 92 Base Army hospital where he breathed his last.
Police sources identified the deceased as Assistant Sub-Inspector Jitendar Singh Bidoria
Police Station Ram Munshibagh registered a formal case in this regard.
