Experts Should Choose Head Of GMC Sgr: DAK

Calling for advertising of the post of principal Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Wednesday said that this would open doors for many deserving and meritorious candidates.
President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement said that advertising of the post of principal GMC would bring transparency and openness in the selection process.
“A team of experts in the field of medicine should assess these candidates and choose the best so that the pristine glory of GMC could be restored,” Dr Nisar said adding “instead of facilitating the process of selection by experts, bureaucrats and politicians pick up their favorite who remains at their beck and call.”
He said that the whole selection process is kept hidden and secret which is unfair, non-transparent and thus manipulative.(Agencies)
