Srinagar, (UNI): A massive fire caused damage to the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) office building in Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, Fire and emergency officials said.
They said, fire broke out around 10.30 am in the upper story of the two storey building and engulfed the entire complex.
It took more than four hours to fire and emergency men and machines, pressed into service from Kunzar and Tangmarg stations to douse the leaping flames.
The building also housed the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police Operations.
The cause of the fire is believed to be the short circuit, reports said and added office record was also damaged in the incident.
No one was injured .
