Five people were injured Thursday in a gas explosion at a restaurant in southeastern South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency.
The explosion occurred at the restaurant on the third floor of a commercial building in an apartment complex in Changwon, some 400 km southeast of Seoul, at about 12:33 p.m. local time.
The restaurant owner was seriously wounded with second-degree burns.
Four others, including employees of another restaurant next to it and passers-by, suffered injuries as broken glasses and a sign of the restaurant fell down on the ground.
With the explosion, refrigerators and other fittings of the restaurant were burned.
