Four killed, dozens injured as truck hits bus

Four persons were killed and nearly one dozen others were injured when a roadways bus was hit by a truck in Kotwali Dehat area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a senior officer said here.

District Magistrate CP Singh said that the incident took place on the national highway when the bus of Sahibabad depot from Badaun to Delhi was hit by the truck. He said that senior officers reached the spot, and a rescue operation was launched.

He said that four persons were killed in the incident. “Nearly a dozen passengers were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the district hospital,” he said.

The DM visited the spot and inquired about the treatment of the injured. He also interacted with the injured and assured them of proper treatment.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while expressing grief over the loss of life in the road accident has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. He has directed the officials to ensure proper treatment of the injured while wishing them speedy recovery.
