Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq on Saturday said that PDP-BJP coalition government in the state had been frustrated by the united voice of resistance leadership of Kashmir against its anti-Kashmir policies.

“The government was now indulging in inhuman and undemocratic behaviour,” Mirwaiz said in a statement issud here.

Mirwaiz also condemned the re-arrest of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik besides “insulting behavior and atrocities of police towards him.”

Terming raids conducted on Malik’s residence, ransacking of his belongings, harassment of his family members and atrocities on the people of Maisuma besides imposing strict curfew in the area as inhuman and immoral, the hurriyat chairman said this proved the frustration and desperation of the ruling class.

Stating that the house arrests and detentions of the resistance leaders, curbs on their movement and ban on their activities would not be able to break their resolve, the Mirwaiz said the state government was itself using excessive force and violence against the resistance leadership and freedom-loving people of Kashmir and creating an environment where peace becomes surreal.
