Govt Issues Fresh Security Advisory, Ask Yatris And Tourists To Leave Valley

Days after some unusual orders by the security forces triggered panic in Jammu and Kashmir, another security advisory on social media directing tourists and yatris to leave Kashmir amid serious security threats that have caused a huge panic among people.

The order under number Home-881 of 2019 dated 2 August 2019 issued by Home Department reads, that the order has been issued in view of serious terror threats with specific targeting of Amarnath Yatra and given the prevailing security situation in valley.

“Keeping in view the latest intelligence inputs of terror threats, with specific targeting of Amarnath Yatra, and given the prevailing security situation in Kashmir valley, in the interests of the tourists and Amarnath yatris, it is advised that they may curtail their stay in valley immediately and take necessary measures to return as soon as possible,” the order reads vetted by the principal secretary Home Department, Shaleen Kabra.

The order has gone viral on the social media websites and has been creating panic among the people.

Pertinently, the centre has also mobilized huge 28000 paramilitary CRPF to the valley on Wednesday. Earlier, the additional 1000 troops were rushed last week.

While the government is terming the troops mobilization as a routine practice, however, speculations in the valley are high of possible abrogation of Article 35 A, or trifurcation of state. Some are even guessing a possible cross border strikes on militant’s camps in Pakistan.
