The School Education Department Wednesday cancelled the attachment of nearly 450 government teachers and transferred them to various schools of the state.

The administration also transferred President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Abdul Qayoom Wani to a local Government High School in his native village, Tangmarg as per the order.

"Attachments of nearly 450 government school teachers, Masters and Lecturers in Kashmir and Jammu, deputed with different schemes like SSA and RMSA from past many years have been cancelled," Director School Education, Kashmir, Shah Faesal said.

He said the order was passed by Governor, N N Vohra who is currently running the state.

According to him the EJAC Forum President, Abdul Qayoom Wani, who was also attached with a centrally sponsored scheme- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for past many years, has been transferred to a local Government High School in his native village, Tangmarg.

“The administration has transferred EJAC president, Abdul Qayoom Wani to a school in Tangmarg,” Faesal said. 

Sources said Governor N N Vohra passed an order to the Secretary, School Education Department. “On the directions of Governor, the authorities cancelled all the attachments of government teachers, masters and lecturers who were attached with various centrally sponsored schemes,” sources informed.(Agencies)
