HP: Hamirpur becomes a hotspot of Covid

Hamirpur, (UNI): Corona Virus is spreading fast in all parts of the district, and the Hamirpur town and its adjacent areas including the NIT campus have become a Hotspot of the virus, where it was spreading like wildfire.

This is despite the fact that the district has already completed its targets of vaccinations to its entire eligible population and was leading in the state.

Moreover, as many as 23,834 children of the district in the age group of (15-18) years have also been vaccinated since January 3rd when the vaccination work for the children was stated Nationwide.

The district recorded 270 new positive cases on Tuesday, said a spokesman of the Health Department.

NIT, Hamirpur campus led the table with 179 more cases, and the rest of the cases have been reported either from different parts of the Hamirpur town or rural areas of the district. The total number of positive cases in the NIT campus stands at 438.

Three staffers of the Police station, Sujanpurtira have also been found positive.
The official spokesman appealed to the people to abide by the Covid guidelines and thereby save them from its wrath.
