Jammu, March 17 (UNI) Inspector General BSF, Jammu Frontier, D K Boora ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu on Thursday visited the Line of Control and reviewed the security scenario in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A BSF spokesman said that the IG D K Boora visited the LC under command of Units of SHQ BSF Rajouri.
He was welcomed by D S Sindhu, DIG, and SHQ BSF Rajouri along with other officers of the sector.
“The IG took stock of the situation on LC of under command units,” said the spokesman adding that he also interacted with BSF Officers and troops.
The IG BSF reviewed the overall deployment and domination plan of BSF and also held discussions with concerned Battalion commanders on ground and reviewed the security situation.
During the visit, IG chaired Sainik Sammelan and expressed appreciation and gratitude to all ranks of BSF for their professional commitment towards line of duty while dealing with several challenges on LC and boosted their spirits.
He also manifested advance greetings to all BSF personnel and their families on the occasion of Holi.
