Jammu Police arrests burglars, crack snatching cases

Jammu, Feb 18 (UNI) In a major breakthrough Jammu Police have arrested two burglars, cracked many snatching cases and recovered stolen goods worth lakhs in Ranbir Singh Pura area here in the city outskirts.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu Chandan Kohli said that many cases of burglary, snatching, theft have been solved with the arrest of two notorious thieves namely Mohammad Saleem and Sunny Kumar alias Kaka, both residents of R S Pura. Notably, theft cases including one of J&K Bank branch of Badyal Brahmana have been solved by the Police with the arrests.
The top cop said that a special Police team under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura Shabir Khan led by Station House Officer R S Pura Inspector, Jai Pal Sharma supervised by S P Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta took various digital footprints and after proper analysis arrested the accused persons.
 “During sustained questioning both confessed their involvement and on their disclosures stolen property worth Rs 9 lakhs were recovered from them,” said the SSP.
