J&K: 11 hand grenades, 11 UBGL recovered as forces bust hideout

SRINAGAR, FEB 17 (UNI) Joint team of Police and security forces busted a militant hideout at Zandfaran Sheeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition including hand grenades, UBGL on Thursday during a CASO.

Srinagar, (UNI): Security forces recovered 11 hand grenades and as many Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades from a hideout in Kashmir on Thursday.

Police said the hideout was busted by joint forces in village Zandfaran Sheeri of Baramulla district during a Cordon And Search Operation.
“During search, a hideout located in a nallah was busted and 11 hand grenades and 11 UBGL grenades and 1  crude grenade were recovered from the hideout,” a police statement said.
A case under relevant Sections of the Indian Arms Act was registered in Police Station Sheeri and investigation started.
