J&K: ACB arrests 2 including wildlife employee

Srinagar, (UNI): J&K’s Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two persons including an employee of the wildlife department while allegedly accepting a bribe, here on Friday.

ACB said Tariq Ahmad Sofi, a guard with the wildlife department, Ganderal and a broker Mohammad Yaseen Bhat were caught red handed while accepting a bribe.

It said ACB received a complaint alleging that Sofi was demanding Rs 5000 as bribe for releasing the belongings of the complainant seized by the Wildlife Department.

Following which a case was later registered by ACB.

During the course of investigation Sofi, a resident of Zanakote Srinagar, and a broker were arrested.

“Further investigations in the case is going on,” he said.
