Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday handed over an appointment letter to the wife of Deepu Kumar, a circus worker, who was killed in May by terrorists in Anantnag district.

Sinha had announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the victim’s family living in a remote village in the Udhampur district.

“Today handed over an appointment letter to Sakshi Devi, wife of martyr Deepu, who was killed by terrorists in Anantnag,” LG Sinha tweeted.

Deepu Kumar was killed in the Janglat Mandi area in the south Kashmir district, when he had gone out to buy milk on May 29.
