Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta celebrated Diwali with Army personnel of the Fire & Fury Corps at the Rinchen Auditorium in Leh today, extending greetings and gratitude to the soldiers guarding the nation’s frontiers.
The Lt Governor praised the courage and dedication of jawans serving in extreme weather and terrain conditions along the borders. He also paid rich tributes to the heroes of Kargil and Siachen, acknowledging their supreme sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
Gupta reiterated the unwavering commitment of the government of India and the union Territory administration towards the welfare of soldiers and their families, an official spokesperson said.
