Life Returns To Normal In Pulwama After Four Days

Life returned to normal in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday after remaining shut for four consecutive days against the killing of two students and a militant last weekend.
Shops, business establishments, government and semi-government offices including coaching institutes reopened and transport plied on the roads.
Eye-witnesses told media that people have thronged markets to purchase ration and other essentials.
Two students, Mir Asif Farooq alias Danish Farooq, 19 and 22-year-old Shaista Hameed were killed in forces' firing at civilians in Lelhar village and Kakapora town after the killing of a LeT militant, Adil Ahmad Wagay of Banderpora village in a brief encounter on Sunday.
The civilian killings evoked widespread condemnation and outrage. The government has also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the killings.(Agencies)
