A man was arrested for entering a Gurdwara in Rajpura wearing shoes, police said on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Sahil, a local resident. At 0715 hrs, he allegedly entered the Gurdwara wearing shoes and tried to touch Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He also allegedly tried to misbehave with people present there, when confronted.
Police said that the Sevadars of Gurdwara Singh Sabha caught the accused and handed him over to the police. The police have filed a case against the accused under IPC section 295-A and further investigation was underway.
