Delhi Municipal Corporation has collected the highest House tax just after three months of the Aam Aadmi Party comes into power.

AAP said that the House tax collection reaches Rs 1113 crore for the first time in MCD.

MLA and AAP MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak said that during the BJP rule house tax collection

was 539 crores in the financial year 2021-22 and 695 crores in the FY 2022-23 with an increase of only 100 crores.

“I am sure that in the next 3-4 years, MCD will not have to depend on anyone for their budget like

the Delhi government, MCD will also work in profit,” said Pathak.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “After AAP formed government in MCD, people themselves have started paying tax properly. They know that now there is an honest government

and every penny they pay will be spent on development.”

Pathak expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Delhi for showing their unwavering support for the AAP’s transformative efforts, marking a significant milestone in the city’s history.
