An Army jawan who was missing has been recovered by police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, police said.
Army soldier Javaid Ahmad Wani, a resident of Achathal village in Kulgam, who was on leave had gone missing from his village in on Saturday evening. His mother had released a video message pleading for his safe return home as family feared his abduction.
Additional Director General of Police Vijay Kumar said missing Army jawan has been recovered by Kulgam Police and joint interrogation will start shortly after medical checkup.
The recovery was announced by ADGP on Twitter.
“Missing Army jawan has been recovered by Kulgam Police. Joint #interrogation will start shortly after medical checkup. Further details shall follow,” ADGP Kashmir was quoted in a police tweet.
