One person was killed and over a dozen were injured in a violent clash between two groups at Moharwa village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, police said.
According to police, an old rivalry led to a violent clash between the two sides on Thursday evening.
More than a dozen people were injured in the incident, who were taken to a nearby hospital. Among them, Kishorilal Padhari died during treatment in the hospital.
Two other seriously injured have been admitted to the district hospital in Satna.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
