Srinagar: The bureaucrat-turned-politician, Shah Faesal was on Saturday booked under Public Safety Act (PSA), sources said.

The former bureaucrat resigned from the country’s elite services as mark of protest ‘the unabated killings in Kashmir and absence of any credible political initiative from Union Government’.
Faesal became the eighth political leader in Jammu and Kashmir who has been booked under PSA since abrogation of Article 370 last year.
Earlier, the three former chief ministers including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and were among the seven leaders who were booked under PSA by the authorities so far.
The other leaders booked under PSA so far include NC’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, NC leader Hilal Akbar Lone, PDP leaders Sartaj Madni and Naeem Akhtar.
