‘Nukad Natak’ performed to highlight domestic violence towards women in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, FEB 19 (UNI):- In a unique form artists of a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) 'White Globe' perform a 'Nukad Natak' on domestic violence against the women folk at busy Regal Chowk in Srinagar on Saturday.

Srinagar, (UNI): Artists of a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO)  performed a “Nukad Natak” to create awareness on domestic violence against the women folk at busy Regal Chowk in Srinagar on Saturday.

Titled “NOOR KOOR CHA HOOR” (Daughter is angel) directed by Shabeer Hakak, Hilal Ahmad and Bashir Kotur, the artists including young women dressed in black and white clothes performed  the play before a good audience at Regal Chowk.
The artists during their performance stressed upon to understand women in social life who are a daughter, a mother, and a life partner, should be treated as per the teaching of the religion.
The Natak also stressed upon the society to end the domestic violence against the women folk.
The woman who raised me up in her lap was my mother, the girl who was called my brother is my sister and one she came to my home and became my life partner…the violence against them should be ended, an artist demonstrated during the play.
