PDP Expels 6 Top Leaders From Basic Membership Of Party

Shortly after meeting envoys of different foreign countries here in Kashmir capital Srinagar, Peoples Democratic Party Thursday expelled six top leaders from the basic membership of the party.

PDP spokesperson Sohail Bukhari said that party decided to expel six leaders for indulging not only in anti-party activities but also going against the policies of the party. These leaders are Rafi Mir, Muhammad Dilawar Mir, Abdul Majid Paddar, Noor Muhammad Sheikh, Javaid Hasan Beigh and Abdul Rahim Rather.

Pertinently some of the expelled leaders had met Lieutenant Governor GC Marmu in Jammu on Wednesday and today those who were expelled met foreign envoys in Srinagar.

When asked about stand of the party about Muzafar Hussain Beigh who criticized party and its president in Jammu during a press conference, the spokesperson said he has not been given mandate to talk about Beigh. “Party Disciplinary Committee took strong note of the meetings that these leaders held in two days and decided to expel them from the basic membership of the party,” he said.
