New Delhi, (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte for embarking on his fourth term in office, and expressed confidence that the two will work together to take the bilateral partnership to new heights.
In a tweet, the PM said:
“Congratulations to my dear friend Prime Minister @markrutte
and best wishes for a successful fourth term in office.
“Confident that we will together advance the wide-ranging partnership between India and the Netherlands to new heights.”
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte embarked on a fourth term Monday, with King Willem-Alexander formally swearing in the new government in the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague.
The new coalition government consists of the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) of Rutte, the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), the center-leftist party Democrats 66 (D66) and the smaller centrist party the Christian Union (CU).
Rutte, 54, has already led three coalitions and is now set to become the Netherlands’ longest-serving prime minister.
