Srinagar: Policeman, Feroz Ahmad who was injured critically in a militant attack in Chanapora here, was Friday airlifted to AIIMS for treatment, officials said.
Feroz received a critical gunshot wound in the right ribs on the evening of April 26 last month after suspected militants opened fire upon police post Chanapora. Feroz was immediately shifted to SKIMS for treatment.
“Feroz was airlifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for further treatment yesterday afternoon,” official sources said.
A police officer while confirming it said that the seriously injured officer along with his family was airlifted to AIIMS Delhi through an air ambulance arranged by the department. (GNS)
