The KTMF president Haji Mohammad Yasin Khan on Friday said that deadlock in Pulwama has ended as the government agreed in principle to meet the demands of traders and  civilians of the area.

"After a detailed meeting with civil administration, traders and members of the civil society, Khan said it was decided that the demands of the civilian population will be fulfilled," said a KTMF statement.

Khan said it was only after the fruitful dialogue that the markets reopened and other work started as normal.

"Khan said that the administration agreed that all the detained youth are being released and that there would be no further raids or other harassment of the civilians," the statement added.

Khan appreciated the role of Pulwama inhabitants, particularly traders, who showed exemplary commitment towards the cause.
