In an intelligence-led operation against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, Punjab Police have recovered 15 kg heroin, having approximate market value of Rs 75 crore, after arresting a drug trafficker, an officer said on Saturday.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said the recovery was made during the search of a tractor trolley loaded with straw in Fazilka.
He said,”In the last 45 days, SSOC Fazilka has recovered 147 kg of heroin”.
Police said an FIR has been registered at PS Sadar Fazilka and an investigation is on to disrupt the drug supply chain.
