Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called on the United Nations on Saturday to send a team to the Gaza Strip to investigate recent attacks on hospitals.
“We call on the UN to send an international team to investigate Israeli bombardments of hospitals in the Gaza Strip,” the emir said at a Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
The Qatari emir said the international norms were being compromised by attacks on medical facilities and refugee camps in the Palestinian territories.
The World Health Organization said on Friday it had verified over 250 attacks on health care facilities in Gaza since October 7. The UN health agency said five attacks on five hospitals had been documented in one day and four hospitals were put out of action in the past two days alone.
