Union Information Broadcasting and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday blasted the Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi for adopting policy of appeasement towards minorities and trying to woo their votes in coming elections.
However, this gimmick would not help the Congress party, he told reporters here today.
Thakur was here in connection with the party’s programme to tell the people through the media what the central government had done during the last nine years.
He claimed in a press conference that in the year 2024, the public will repose faith in PM Modi to keep the country safe. Anurag Thakur also enumerated all the achievements of the Central Government in the last nine years.
Thakur said that in the last nine years, the central government has taken many steps for the welfare of the farmers and where in the UPA government, the farmers used to get sticks to fertilize. He said that every time there was a discussion in the Parliament that farmers were not getting fertilizers, but there has been no shortage of fertilizers in nine years, nor has there been an increase in the prices of fertilizers.
Countering Rahul Gandhi’s statements, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that Rahul Gandhi has insulted the people of Amethi and Wayanad and Rahul Gandhi is doing politics of appeasement. He said that due to the deeds of Rahul Gandhi, he has been removed from the post and has insulted the OBC class and has not even accepted an apology. He said that he has ceased to be a member after the orders of the court and the membership of the MP has been canceled by the decision of the court.
On the talk of forming an alliance with the opposition parties, Anurag Thakur said that if there is a plan to form a grand alliance in a democracy, then make it because alliances have been formed earlier also. He said that there is neither policy nor leader in the alliances.
He said that the unity of the opposition would also fall like a house of cards or like a bridge in Bihar. He said that some political parties have already refused the alliance.
Anurag Thakur claimed that the people of 2024 will make Narendra Modi win and the people know that self-respect has to be given along with keeping the country safe. He said that only Modi has been successful in living up to the expectations of the people. He said that due to the honest government in India, the economy has become strong.
