Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have extended their greetings on the occasion of the Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
In a social media post on his X handle, Rahul Gandhi wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to all of you on the Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The ideals and path shown by him for human welfare, courage, and truth will always continue to inspire us.”
Priyanka Gandhi quoted Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s famous line, “I fight against a hundred and twenty-five thousand, I break the hawks for the little birds, Only then do I call myself by the name Guru Gobind Singh.” She added, “On the Prakash Purb of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the founder of the Khalsa Panth and the Tenth Guru, who taught great values like service, truth, love, and humanity, I offer a hundredfold salutations. His sacrifice for humanity and his teachings will forever guide the world.”
Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, is revered for his role in shaping Sikhism and his contributions to Indian history. His teachings emphasise standing up for truth, justice, and protecting human dignity.
