Rajnath Summons Khana, Sought Details Of Political Developments In Kashmir

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to be in no hurry on the government formation, the BJP‘s National Vice President Avinash Rai Khana who returned from Jammu, Friday met BJP Senior leader and Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and reportedly briefed him about the progress related to forming the new regime in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the sources the BJP leaders, Ram Madhav and Avinash Rai Khanna, were deputed by the party high command to monitor the progress of forming the new regime. “On their return to New Delhi, Avinash Rai Khana met Home Minister in New Delhi and briefed him about the developments related to the formation of government,” sources said.
Though Avinash Rai Khana maintained a guarded silence to avoid any controversy at this crucial juncture but he confirmed that he has met the Home Minister in New Delhi late Friday. “I am meeting the Home Minister, it is better to call me later,” Khana told KNS over phone from New Delhi.
Meanwhile BJP’s state President Sat Sharma told KNS that BJP is waiting PDP’s stand over the government formation. “There is no need to issue any statement right now. Let the party (PDP) leadership officially clear its stand first,” he said when his reaction was sought on the formation of government.
Sources in the BJP said that BJP high command has given strict directions to the party leaders against giving controversial statements, which may lead to strained relations between the two parties.
It is to mention here that the PDP seems to be in no hurry on the government formation.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, who remains the centre of attention following the death of her father and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, as she is yet to talk on government formation. (KNS)
