Jammu, (UNI): Police on Wednesday recovered a girl from Punjab kidnapped from Reasi District of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police spokesman said that a woman from Talwara area of Reasi lodged a written complaint on January 26 alleging that her minor daughter went to market but didn’t return.
“Acting on a complaint, a special team was constituted,” Shailendra Singh, SSP Reasi said.
He said that the kidnapped girl was traced in Gurdaspur, Punjab along with the kidnapper Rashpal Singh of Handar, Arnas.
Singh said that with the help of local Punjab Police, raids were conducted and the accused was arrested.
The girl has been handed over to the family after medical examination was conducted by board of doctors.
The SSP said that this is the recovery of fourth kidnapped girl and one minor boy in last one week.
