Five commuters lost their lives and another injured as their car turned turtle in west Afghanistan’s Herat province on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Abdullah Insaf said on Thursday.
The deadly road crash, according to the official, took place in Gazara district on Wednesday evening, leaving five travelers dead and badly injuring another.
Insaf also blamed reckless driving for the accident, saying driving on congested roads carelessly often claims the lives of travelers in the province.
A similar road accident had killed one commuter and injured five others in the northern Balkh province on Tuesday.
