Prominent political and social leader Syed Saleem Gilani met Member of Parliament and Sajada Nashin of Dargah Naqshbandiya, Hazrat Baba Ji Sahib Larvi, Mian Altaf Ahmad, yesterday. Today, he also held a detailed meeting in Srinagar with another distinguished political leader and Member of Parliament, Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi. This meeting lasted for approximately 45 minutes.
During the discussion, the latest political situation of the state, the growing public disappointment, and the numerous hardships being faced by the people were thoroughly reviewed. The conversation also touched upon the identity of the people of the state, interfaith harmony among Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs, as well as Jammu and Kashmir’s historical unity and tradition of religious coexistence.
Both sides agreed that the process of dialogue and exchange of ideas must continue so that collective efforts for the broader interests of the state can move forward.
Syed Gilani was accompanied by noted educationist Muhammad Akbar Butt and Peer Tahir Qadri.
