Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA, along with BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, on Thursday chaired an organisational review meeting of BJP District Kathua and Pahari District to assess preparedness and strengthen grassroots outreach.
Senior BJP leaders present on the occasion included J&K Vice President Priya Sethi, General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Rajiv Jasrotia, Vijay Sharma, Darshan Thakur and Bharat Bhushan, and District Presidents Updesh Andotra and Gopal Krishan. The meeting was attended by senior leaders, MLAs, district office-bearers, Morcha presidents and party workers from across the districts.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma urged party leaders to further strengthen the BJP’s organic connect with the people. He said the party’s greatest strength lies in its people-first philosophy and constant engagement at the grassroots level.
Emphasising accountability, he called upon MLAs and senior leaders to intensify outreach, particularly in remote and underserved areas, to ensure that welfare initiatives of the Modi government reach every rightful beneficiary in a timely and transparent manner.
Sat Sharma said the BJP approaches the people not with the ambition of power but with a resolve to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. He described the party as a natural platform for nationalist-minded citizens committed to eliminating corruption, eradicating poverty and accelerating inclusive development. He added that the BJP is working with a clear roadmap to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Ashok Koul, while reviewing organisational activities, stressed disciplined and result-oriented execution of party programmes. He laid special emphasis on initiatives related to Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Swadeshi Mission and programmes organised on Good Governance Day.
He also called for organising Mann Ki Baat programmes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a large scale, ensuring active participation of common citizens and prominent individuals from all sections of society.(KINS)
